Africa Pictures

Two little African children

Toilet

Gene with the mother and sick little girl that we helped

Cute little one - not so happy

Yes there is poverty here, but wow, what a view - this is part of Lake Victoria (huge lake, over 26,000 square miles (2nd widest fresh water body in the world) that borders Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.

Water jugs full of water - very heavy - they carry these back and forth from the watering hole every day multiple times a day

One of the widows we visited - very spirited

A cow is very important to a family. Not just for the milk, but also as a somewhat of an insurance policy. If someone gets very sick and they need money quick, they can sell their cow to get the money to transport and treat the sick person.

Luke carrying the hoe after doing some work out in their garden (holding the exact right way according to the locals there)

This little boy was drinking this water like he hadn't had water in some time. This family was and is completely in survival mode, eating one meal a day. We polled some money from the tream to help them out temporarily.

Another cute little guy

Look at those smiles...

Towards the beginning of our visit, they were very curious children. It looked like many of them probably only had a single outfit. Many of there clothes were very dirty and worn. Some had newer looking outfits as well like the little girl in the blue and white dress.

Luke, his friend Mike and a new African frien up in a tree out at a village

The children love seeing their pictures after we take them. Luke is showing some of them the picture he took of them.

Does that cute little guy in the yellow vest have a mommy and a daddy? Can you bring him home? Mom/Babe
